Juliarna can be found working with her own line-up of trios to septets at jazz venues, art galleries, jazz clubs and jazz festivals. She can also be found as a guest vocalist with established jazz bands.
The few years prior to the-pandemic-that-shall-not-be-mentioned were very busy, with a soul-nourishingly enjoyable weekly trio gig at Wine O'Clock Wine Bar, plus a lot of other fantastic gigs, including a stint with Jazzdagen Tours on the Crystal Cruise line, working with amazing jazz musicians from USA and Europe, travelling from LA down to Costa Rica (click here for a little sample), special guest of the Noosa Jazz Party and Noosa Chorale, r, gigs atThe Paris Cat, The Butterfly Club, The Exchange Hotel (Deniliquin), The Jay Theatre Noosa, Werribee Jazz Club, The Waterrat Hotel (Sth Melbourne), Wine O'Clock Wine Bar, & Geelong City Council. She has worked with Stephen Grant, Richard Miller, Rod Gilbert, James Clark, Andy Firth, Peeter Hooper, Bill Polain, Craig Fermanis, Peter Meiers, Eddie Metz (USA), Randy Morris (USA), Tom Hook (USA) Michael Harding, Sam Lemann, Tony Floyd, Gianni Marinucci, Steve Sedergreen, Wilbur Wilde, the John Montesante Quintet, Mat Jodrell and Howard Cairns.
Usually Juliarna sticks to jazz gigs which are all about the execution of swinging jazz, but very occasionally she puts on a cabaret an amusing mix of jazz, originals and other genres. With silly things like this.. Or this...

Juliarna is a volunteer presenter for 3MBS Fine Music Melbourne. Initially trained in 1999, she has programed and presented on and off since then (when living in Melbourne). For the past several years, she has presented a 2 hour show called Alluring Melodies over December and January of each year. The program explores the influences of songs that have remained popular over many decades with both vintage and new versions of these classic songs that have stood the test of time. She curates a wonderful, engaging program delivered with trademark industry insights and good humour. Come the festive season tune in online, digitally or just good old fashioned FM wireless.
Singer/songwriter as part of duo "Kingsville"
Gifted pianist/songwriter/singer Rebecca Harris Mason and Juliarna have been collaborating on musical projects since they met on the first day of uni in the mid-90s. Although other musical pursuits are their bread and butter, they will always find time for the occasional original gig. Here's a medley of the type of songs they write. Choral conducting, composing & ensemble directing
Juliarna has extensive experience as a chorister with many esteemed choirs (St Patrick's Cathedral Singers, Bristol Cathedral Choir, St Michaels Northgate Oxford, the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic) working as a cantor for St Francis Cathedral (Adelaide), St Patrick's Cathedral (Melbourne), and St Kevin's (Templestowe). She was a conductor for the Australian Girls Choir for over 10 years.
Juliarna is currently the Director of Music for the Choir at St Mary's College, University of Melbourne. As well as performing classic sacred settings of music, St Mary's College Choir also performs Juliarna's bespoke liturgical compositions and a wide variety of contemporary, fun, entertaining pieces for the enjoyment of all at College functions. She is also a Conductor for the Young Voices of Macedon, an accomplished children's choir with rehearsals in Woodend.
