About the event
In this series of concerts, Juliarna is joined by a variety of fine exponents of great jazz for bespoke afternoons of memorable musical experiences. This time it is our most beloved of all Steve Grant as the domino walloper and crowd favourite Rodney Gilbert on the traps.
Set lists unfold in time, often incoporating the whims of punters who are absolutely intrinsic to the creative direction of the afternoon- a collective musical affair with every person present valued and on the journey with the musicians. It's often funny, sometimes poignant, and always enjoyable and memorable.
Jazz@Newham events are seated affairs with 2 sets of scintillating music at the Newham Mechanics Institute. Doors open at 2.15pm with music starting at 3pm. We are licensed to serve a basic bar of beer and wine before the music and during the interval. Cheese platters of locally sourced delicacies are available for the peckish.
Tickets are $34 and I can't wait to see some beloved familiar smiling aces and happy, tappytoes.
